The joint conference includes program tracks and technical assistance workshops dealing with lead hazard control, lead poisoning prevention and healthy housing program issues. The program tracks run Tuesday afternoon and the technical assistance workshops run Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. National Conference of Lead and Healthy Homes GranteeThe National Association of Lead and Healthy Homes Grantees is presenting sessions that focus on grant submission and management issues, operational issues and technical assistance topics. These sessions allow grantees, sub-grantees and potential grantees to examine ways to respond to grant opportunities, properly manage grant programs examine key issues that will help their agencies and communities improve the effectiveness and delivery of their grant programs, and examine changing federal strategies. Sessions to Help Grant Managers and Staff As a grant program manager – new or old – you are not alone. The trials and tribulations that you face have been dealt with by others. The conference provides you with answers and insights based on the successful experiences of other grant managers. These conference sessions include a pre-conference workshop for grant managers; an educational program track on grant application, implementation and sustainability issues; technical assistance workshops on program issues; a special “open forum” with key personnel from the HUD Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control. Also of great value is the opportunity you’ll have to network with fellow grant managers and program staff from throughout the country.
